Scopus contents

Scopus contents include:

Serial publications provided with ISSN (International Standard Serial Number) (e.g. journals and series).

Journals - the majority of the journals indexed in Scopus are peer-reviewed and selected following the policies for coverage of the database. More than 3,600 peer-reviewed titles are open access (based on the directories DOAJ and/or ROAD). Scopus also indexes a number of commercial magazines, i.e. journals covering specific industrial and/or commercial areas of interest. Usually, these publications focus on topical issues, news and advertisement in specific fields. These rarely have an editorial board and are not usually peer-reviewed, but show an ISSN. Scopus makes a selection of the articles published in these magazines and indexes only those scientifically relevant.

Series - periodical publications with a general series title identified with an ISSN and an individual title for each volume, identified with an ISBN.

Books - single or multiple volumes not included in the series. University textbooks are also included in this list of titles. Books are indexed both at volume and chapter level.

Conference proceedings provided with ISBN (International Standard Book Number) - scientific contributions as presented in conferences and published in conference proceedings or in dedicated journals' issues.
