Who have access to the Library?
The access to the Library is open and free for everyone.
What are the Library opening hours?
The Library is open from Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. until 7.30 p.m. Possible variations and extraordinary closures will be communicated in the website and with announcements in the library.
How to use the Library Services
Users have to register asking for the module at the reference desk. For security reasons, users have to sign in the attendance register when entering and leaving the Library.
How to access internet and Wi-Fi
The Library provides free Wi-Fi and four fixed locations to access the internet network. Users have to log-in using the personal access credentials issued by the library staff after filling-in the authentication form available at the reference desk. Library staff will insert users' data in the database giving access to the service.
Who can consult and borrow the books in the catalogue?
After registering to the Library services, guests may freely consult the bibliographic resources in the consultation room and give back the material to the library staff that will place it back on the shelves. Only internal users (personnel of the CNR-Area, students whose supervisor belongs to CNR staff, PhD students, contract staff and collaborators) and people benefitting of special agreements with CNR have access to the loan service.
How to ask for loan services
If available in the catalogue, users allowed for borrowing may ask for the resource needed directly at the reference desk. Library staff register the loan, issuing a receipt to be signed by the borrower.
What is NILDE and how to use it
NILDE (acronym for Network for Inter-Library Document Exchange) is an online system for document delivery, available to users upon registration. After the validation of the account by the Library, users are enabled to send requests that will be forwarded by the Library staff to partner libraries holding the resource needed.
